The Praying Man

Mother Moon and the elven bells
I can feel the dead two steps away
tattered dark robe, glares at me
the scyth’s blade readied for the final swing

The lonesome hunter aeons old
has changed appearance nowadays
creeping slowly into my mind
to tell the truth to make me faint

All those sorrows, my souls pain
too much to bear no ground to gain
poisoned, crippled, backstabed even
I carry myself towards the ending

Ev’ry day a step
ev’ry minute a cry
ev’ry moment aching
under the weight

Mother Moon and the elven bells
will I see you again and hear the sweet sound
oh send me a knight to rescue me
a miracle even I plead on my knees

Please answer my prayers
be gentle and kind
bring peace and calmness
back into my mind…
